Rosewater Peanut Chicken Curry

This is called the Rosewater Peanut Chicken Curry. The main ingredients in this recipe is Rosewater and Peanuts. This is a subtle dish with a unique taste. The blended aroma of rosewater and peanuts makes the chicken curry just awesome and will leave you mouth watering for sure…. Rosewater Peanut Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Boneless Chicken – 1 kilo
  2. Rosewater – 3 TBSP
  3. Roasted Unsalted Peanuts – 100 gms
  4. Red Chilli Powder – 2 tsp (increase this if you need more spice)
  5. Garam Masala Powder – 2 tsp
  6. Ginger Paste – 1 tsp
  7. Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
  8. Salt – as required
  9. Fresh Lime juice – 2 tsp
  10. Finely chopped Onion – 2 large
  11. Olive oil – as required
  12. Cinnamon stick – 1 medium

Preparation Steps:

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces
  2. Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, 2 tbsp olive oil, rose water and salt
  3. Keep the marinated chicken aside for about 60 minutes (the more the better)
  4. Grind the peanuts (using a mixer) into a fine paste. Add water as required.
  5. Take a pan, pour oil and fry the cinnamon stick first for a minute in low flame
  6. Then fry the Onion until the raw smell fades off
  7. Now add the marinated chicken and sauté
  8. Close the pad using lid and let the chicken cook for about 10 minutes
  9. Open the lid and add the peanut paste
  10. Close the lid and let it cook for about 5 minutes
  11. Open the lid and saute the chicken until semi dry (3-4 minutes max)
  12. Remove from pan and serve hot
