Spicy Cream Chicken Curry Recipe

This is one of my custom recipe called as “Spicy Cream Chicken Curry”. This is a simple dish and tastes too good. This dish can be had with rice as well as roti / bread too. Try it out and share your experience 🙂

Spicy Cream Chicken Curry Recipe

Main Ingredients:

  1. Boneless Chicken – 500 gm
  2. Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  3. Garlic paste – 1 tsp
  4. Garam masala – 1 tsp
  5. Red Chilli Powder – 3 tsp
  6. Lime / lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  7. Tumeric Powder – 1 tsp
  8. Salt – as required
  9. Fresh Curry leaves – 1 cup
  10. Finely chopped Tomato – 1 large
  11. Finely chopped Onion – 2 large
  12. Cinnamon Sticks – 1 large
  13. Cloves – 4 pieces
  14. Bay leaves – 2 large
  15. Fresh Coriander leaves for garnish

Ingredients and steps for making the cream:

  1. Roasted Unsalted Cashew nuts – 75 gm
  2. Roasted Unsalted Almonds – 75 gm
  3. Use a mixer / blender and grind these ingredients into a fine paste. Add water as required.

Preparation Steps:

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces
  2. Marinate chicken with lime juice, ginger and garlic paste, red chilli powder, tumeric powder,  garam masala and salt
  3. Keep the marinated chicken aside for about 30 minutes (the more the better)
  4. Take a pan, pour oil and saute the bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves and curry leaves for a minute in low flame
  5. Then saute the Onion until the raw smell fades off
  6. Now add the finely chopped tomato and saute
  7. Add the marinated chicken and sauté
  8. Close the pad using lid and let the chicken cook for about 5 minutes
  9. Open the lid and saute the chicken until dry (no water seen)
  10. Now add the cream and cook for 5 to 10 min max.
  11. Remove from pan and serve hot
  12. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves
