Tomato Curry Leaf Chicken Fry

This is called the Tomato Curry Leaf Chicken Fry. I did an experiment today and it worked out fine and hence named it that way. Try it out and share your experience 🙂

Tomato Curry Leaf Chicken Fry Recipe


  1. Boneless Chicken – 500 gm
  2. Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  3. Garlic paste – 1 tsp
  4. Garam masala – 1 tsp
  5. Red Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
  6. Lime / lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  7. Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  8. Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt – as required
  10. Fresh Curry leaves – 1 cup
  11. Finely chopped Tomato – 1 large
  12. Finely chopped Onion – 1 large

Preparation Steps:

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces
  2. Marinate chicken with lime juice, ginger and garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, garam masala and salt
  3. Keep the marinated chicken aside for about 30 minutes (the more the better)
  4. Take a pan, pour oil and fry the curry leaves first for a minute in low flame
  5. Then fry the Onion until the raw smell fades off
  6. Now add the finely chopped tomato and fry
  7. Add the marinated chicken and sauté
  8. Close the pad using lid and let the chicken cook for about 5 minutes
  9. Open the lid and saute the chicken until dry (no water seen)
  10. Remove from pan and serve hot
